Follow Up: Lakeland Comes to The Ramp

Thanks to one of the readers of As I Travel… it has been pointed out to me that The Ramp of Hamilton, AL has had connections to the false Lakeland Revival for quite some time.  According to this reliable source, The Ramp of Hamilton, AL not only supported Todd Bentley’s false revival, but sent members of their “worship dance crew” to Lakeland, FL to be a part of and in support of Bentley and his false revival.  Also, it is well documented that frequent Ramp leader Rick Pino was a large part of Lakeland hype.

It seems that at one time the website of The Ramp had a pretty active forum section.  I cannot seem to find it today.  Perhaps it was considered a liability to them.  Apparently, The Ramp endorsed and supported Todd Bentley’s false revival in Lakeland, FL on this forum.  At some point, people began to question the support of this revival.  Before taking down the post, my source reports that this is what was posted about Lakeland:

Well the moderator over at theramp.*** shut down the thread discussing Lakeland where I was trying to inform these dear misled youth about what is going on. They even erased all the content. The folks and children that attend the ramp are the ones clearly being told and groomed to be “Joel’s army.” By the way I am also aware that there was/is connection to Becky Johnson and the film “Jesus Camp” which was pure propoganda I thought at time. I did have a strong negative reaction at the time to a section where Becky was leading children in tounges. I talked to the kids at the ramp and let myself be convinced that maybe it was the editing and propoganda that I reacted to. However, there is connection with Beck Johnson and Patricia King. These kids concern me. I will continue to monitor the site. I sent some private messages asking them if email me if they wanted to discuss further. There were 3 main kids that entered the discussion. Please pray that at least one gets pushed to hear the truth.

This is the exact message. “The Ramp and Karen Wheaton Ministries prefer that these forums not to be used to criticize any current move of God, including the Florida Outpouring in Lakeland. We are thankful for the salvations and healings that have occurred through the ministry of Todd Bentley, a seeker and worshipper of God. Members of Chosen have attended services in Lakeland and were encouraged by the hunger of the people there to worship and seek God’s face. We suggest to anyone in disagreement with the Outpouring to find and focus on the good that has resulted from the services. Paul rejoiced whenever Christ was preached, whether it was by his son Timothy or by those with envy and strife (Phil. 1:15-18). We should trust that any correction needed will come through the Holy Spirit as the leaders of the revival are seekers of God and open to His voice. Thank you for honoring our request to not criticize the Outpouring on our forums. We bless you and encourage you to continue to pursue God with all of your might. “

This is the sort of discernment exhibited by the leadership of The Ramp.  Why would you ever send your children there knowing that they continue to associate with individuals associated with Bentley’s false Lakeland “Outpou

Hey, I never did here from anyone. I see they do not even have a forum anymore.
I know awhile back they had a thread talking about “levitating” and posted a thread somewhere discussing it that I cannot find.

Why can people not welcome another with love? So Todd screwed up, but he should be restored. There lies the main problem with the Church today. We act more like the world than anyone. We are the hardest people to deal with. The difference between us and the world: we act like we got it together and make a fool of ourselves and they know they don’t and they don’t try to hide that fact. The difference between us and murders, they physically killed someone; we do it with our words, so we destroyed a person’s spirit. Don’t accuse those anointed by God. Even those anointed may fall, but God is a God of restoration. He knew they would when He chose them. Is His grace not enough to cover our mistakes? Is His blood not enough to remove our mistakes? Once a person repents and comes to God, He no longer sees their mistakes, but He sees the blood of His son.
