The Pledge
This skit from the show The Whitest Kids You Know (I have not ever seen an entire episode so this is not a recommendation for that show) takes a quick look at the Pledge of Allegiance that so many of us grew up reciting. Pay close attention to what these little children are saying and then consider the context that Francis Bellamy, the author of the Pledge, was supposedly a “Christian socialist.” Thank you public schools.
